Work Degree

Work-based Youth Work Degree

This new degree, offered for the first time in September 2011 by Edinburgh Napier University, is a product that has arisen from previous work conducted by ELRAH, exploring the demand for degrees designed for delivery in the workplace.

The course, which culminates in the award of a BA (Hons) is offered on a part-time basis and is the first degree-level award specifically in Youth Work in Scotland.  Students are able to enter study at multiple levels and similarly, have the option of exiting at various levels, with a range of awards available.  The course has been developed by Edinburgh Napier University in partnership with Edinburgh's Telford College and in association with the City of Edinburgh Council Community Learning and Development Department - this collaboration permits the offer of study to those already working in youth-work, enabling them to upskill as required and desired.

For details on how to apply for this course, see the Edinburgh Napier University Youth Work information pages.
